THE PROJECT

Bossy Beans is a self-led branding project born from a love of good coffee, neighbourhood cafés, and brands with personality. The concept explores what it looks like to build a coffee brand that feels bold, unapologetic, and a little bit fun — the kind of place you’d visit just as much for the vibe as the caffeine.

Designed as a creative exploration, the goal was to create a brand that stood out in a saturated café market. Something confident and energetic, with a visual identity strong enough to translate across packaging, in-store touchpoints, merchandise, and social content.

VISUAL DIRECTION

The visual direction leans into bold typography, high-contrast colour, and playful composition to reflect the confident, no-nonsense attitude of the brand. A chunky, custom wordmark brings instant impact, while the warm, coffee-inspired colour palette balances richness with approachability.

Graphic elements and layouts are intentionally punchy and expressive, designed to feel modern but not minimal. The result is a brand that feels lively, memorable, and full of personality.
